Idea for 12 vs 12
A great many are cheering because they made it to where monks were useless to the full team Aegis bogus, heal party obselete!
But not being able to see the other players on your team to know where to go and call an area OBSURD! It's annoying to know that you and your little 4man team are the only ones there to hold your rez port against this wave of warriors! -_-
So my brother came in and as we ranted about it, he said if that is their only real issue then why not make the rest of the team (the remaining 8 not in your immediate party) show up as allies!? At least then I won't feel totally in the dark.....
And is it just me or is it kinda stupid to yell over local chat where you are planning to coordinate an attack next or that you need help at a certain area? I mean those on either team wouldnt know who was complaining about it and nothing would be done -_- 12vs12 was my favorite part of Factions and now they have taken it and done away with it.... Please say you will fix this in SOME way Anet?

For whatever reasons, please bring back the old FPE 12x12.
Right now, forcing us to form a team of 4 before entering AND then get stuck with them is bad. Imagine you're a healer and the 3 players of your team just leave, what should you do? I can imagine I'd leave as well.

...like this never happens in Random Arenas, Heroes' Ascent, the FPE Alliance battles, and just about everywhere in PvE...

yeah but the point is that you are supposed to be part of a larger team, aimed at a larger goal - if you can't see the maps or talk in team chat then how are you to really be able to follow what is going on? you are a now a soloist in a big a$$ blood bath! and it's your own blood - THIS is the issue - cause if you quit like the other idiots the team takes an even bigger hit then losing the first three and the sad thing is, your team doesn't even know it!
So yeah that is the difference.

I have not yet been to the 12v12 area, so Im not shure exactly what they changed, but here is what I would like to see once I do reach that point.
1) You MUST form a 4-man team before entering - to often during the FPE I saw random people 1-manning it, creating no team effort whatsoever.
2) Have the other two 4-man teams as ether allies (still uses team chat to communicate with you), or create a small spacing between each 4-man team on the party menu, so you can easly tell who is with you. If the ally version is used, you should still implement a spacing between those two groups, making targeting much easier.
The minion master was already fixed for this, so no complaints there. My personal preference would be for the allies version, because otherwise orders, aegis, and heal party are to powerful, however the allies version may cause some small problem if people like bringing pets. I realy dont want to see a list of 24 names on the party menu.
Perhaps, instead of the allies being on the same menu, have three seperate menu's you can have all open at once or quickly switch between.

What I tried to say is, in old AB format, you're part of larger team, so it's not a big deal if your original team members left. You can still play with the rest ofthe team (and often win the match eventually).
How long do you think people should spend on picking a team AND make sure that nobody would leave? It's not like if you spend 1 hour choosing ppl and they won't leave, is it?

And how is alliance chat supposed to work if we are not all under one single alliance?
We can't all be in the same fight at the same time with those we have allied (allianced) with!

eh this was the second 12v12 thread to pop up I think - at the time the other was getting more flame and I just wanted a deffinate yes or no without the flaming to wade through (even if I did some of the flaming >_>)
Anyways I just happened to glance in here cause my subscriptions didn't update that there were new posts so I was responding to Studio.
